My name is Isaac Choi (the same name as Missionary Isaac Choi in Chicago.) I am the director of Kang Reung UBF, Korea.

I was born in a Christian family. My parents protected one American missionary from communists in their house and fed them during the Korean War. I was a heavy drinker with no meaning of life. I dearly sought a woman's love but they only made me thirstier.

One day in my college, I was invited to UBF Bible study. There I heard Genesis 1:31, "It was very good." I realized I was made very good. Jesus also became the Living water for my thirsty soul.

Dr. John Jun appointed me as the first UBF staff from Busan city. He sent me to pioneer Kang Reung city in 1988. Kang Reung is in the countryside. Students normally move out to the bigger cities after graduation. I saw no fruit here so I despaired. But Jesus' word in Mk 9:23, encouraged me. "If you can?" said Jesus, Everything is possible for him who believes." When I trusted in God, God allowed many house churches. They became pillars of Kang Reung UBF. The Lord God even raised many missionaries. One of them went to Sri-Lanka.

I pray that Kang Reung UBF may continually raise many disciples, house churches, and missionaries to pioneer all nations of the world. Thank you!!

Isaac Choi, Kang Reung UBF
