Key Verse: John 4:35  “Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest?’  I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields!  They are ripe for harvest.”

Praise God who called me out of a meaningless life of despair and alcoholism and into His amazing grace through His Son Jesus Christ!  God’s mercy and blessing overflowed abundantly on our first EWS on Sunday August 2 at 2pm in Depok Center.  By God’s grace, over 40 attendants came to hear the message from Genesis chapter 1, verses 1-6.   

My heart was very much moved by the hard work of the presider, Isak, who is my wife’s cousin.  He really struggled to learn how to speak English effectively, and smiled so brightly, I believe his face hurt after the service.  The hardest working person was Teddy Bear Frida.  She put together the Worship Service liturgy with the help of Iin, and arranged all the music, with the help of Samuel. Msn Peter Lee and Msn Sarah Lee were instrumental in preparing an environment for the service in many ways.  

 In addition, Msn John and Rebekah Lee, Msn Joshua and Andrea Ahn and Msn Esther Im and Msn Timothy were also wonderful co-workers in arranging everything for the EWS.  Not only that, most of the Indonesian shepherd house-church families were in attendance, and some even brought their sheep and children.  Each of the six fellowships will take turns supporting the EWS (El Shaddai Fellowship, Abraham Fellowship, Bahtera Fellowship, Rise and Shine Fellowship, Kasih Eden Fellowship, Batu Karang Fellowship). Fellowship leader Shepherd Iman and his wife Septi were there along with S, Martin and nearly all El Shaddai Fellowship members.

Having recently celebrated my two and a half-year wedding anniversary on July 26, it had the feel of a wedding banquet with all of us learning about the wonder of God’s creation from Genesis 1.  The support and kind words from all the Depok coworkers made it clear that God wants to change Indonesia into the HUB (power-station) for all M nation pioneering.

We pray to have at least 30 EWS attendants regularly and that many students may come to EWS. We also pray to obey Matthew 6:33, raise 12 spiritual descendants, and that God may grant a full job for me, and Frida may have a baby soon.  Thank you very much for your prayers.  God bless you!
