Gwangju1,6 & Junju UBF SBC Report, Korea

God's Perfect Love

On July 23-26 Gwangju1,6 & Junju UBF held their SBC with the theme: " God's Perfect Love" at Naejangsan Christian conference center in Korea.

All 236 people attended including 62 new sheep (39 students, 23 graduates), 20 from Junju UBF and guests M. Ruth Lee and Mark Lee Jr. (Australia), brother U (K country), and Becky and Hannah Gwak (second gens, North York, Canada).

God blessed us with the graceful words of God through nine messengers and special lecturers Sh. Seongwon and Hannah Kim's (Wonchun UBF) message entitled, "My Happy Shepherd Life".  The opening message and morning devotional messages were also moving like the main lectures.

In particular all the main lecturers gave their heart moving messages with many tears after deeply meditating and accepting the passages with repentance of their sins. They are Sh. Peter Ahn (main lecture1-The Father's Great Love- Luke15), Sh. Joshua Cho (main lecture2- It is Finished-John19), Sh. Daniel Sohn (main lecture3-Do you love me?-John21).

15 shepherds presented their sincere testimonies and three student leaders prepared 3-minute messages full of grace.

These words and testimonies touched the hearts of our leaders and new sheep so that they all wrote deep and sincere testimonies and renewed God's great love and grace in their hearts.

During the next day evening we heard imaginary mission reports from three nations (North Korea, Somalia and Iraq) since we have been praying for these countries. It was our first attempt to do this and seemed to be realistic and heart-moving.

On the third day evening, brother U (who was an M) who came from K country shared his graceful testimony. By his changed life in Christ, we all could see vividly God’s great work of salvation among M people in K country through our missionaries Isaac and Caleb. He has been faithful to Genesis Bible study for about a year and also has a great compassion and shepherd heart for his people.

By this we could learn that our sacrifice and prayers for one soul in the campus were not in vain and we made a decision to devote ourselves to God in raising disciples.

As for our new sheep, the number of new students was 39 from the total number of 62 new sheep. They had been faithful to Bible study before coming to this conference.

We thanked God, for they were all open to the word of God and wrote sincere testimonies based on all three lectures and shared them during the conference. Through their reflections, each of them made a decision to follow Jesus.

We pray that God may help them to deeply meet Jesus and grow as disciples of Jesus through memorizing Romans 8 and writing testimonies based on Sunday message every week.
