Pretoria II UBF had a Spring conference
Pretoria II UBF had a Spring conference last 25-27 September 2015
We thank all the prayer servants around the world for the prayer supports for our conference.
While we were preparing this conference, there were two heart surgeries; Msn Daniel Rhee and sister Eva. We were worried, but prayed for them. Indeed God blessed them and the two heart surgeries were successful. We are now praying and waiting for their quick recovery and for them to return their normal lives.
Pretoria chapter II had a Spring conference last 25-27 September 2015 at the same venue with Pretoria chapter I, but with a different program. The conference venue was situated on a mountain with a good view where we could see one of beautiful suburbs in Johannesburg. 32 people including two children attended. The conference title was ‘Jesus, My Good Shepherd.' As we are busy with studying the Gospel of John, we selected three lessons. They were John 9 (Jesus, the light of the world), John 10 (Jesus, good shepherd), and John 15 (Remain in me).
God has raised two new messengers: John Lee (Msn James Lee’s son) and Sibusisio Stephen. Through these two messengers, we had conviction to raise more disciples of Jesus as we have been praying for our ‘Vision 2020’, which was that God may raise 12 disciples by year 2020--meaning 2 disciples every year. We are also praying for brother Fani and sister Dudu to be established as campus shepherds. Both of them wrote Bible Testimonies based on John 10. S. Abia delivered a powerful message that gave us clear direction to remain in His love and in His word. M. Joseph, as always, served this conference in various ways to create the best spiritual environment for us.
We were also blessed to have a book summary presentation based on a book titled ‘A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 (Author: W. Phillip Keller) presented by bro Herman, bro Lopez, bro Happy, sis Maite and sis Rejoce. It gave us better understanding about the sheep and the shepherd, and the relationship between God and man.
