We thank God for enabling us to have Korea UBF national student conference which was full of grace at Keumho Marina Resort on Jan.19-22, 2016. The theme was, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." God richly blessed all the lectures from beginning to end and touched the hearts of all 201 attendees from 31 chapters in Korea.

Sh. David Kim (Korea UBF Director) gave us the opening message, "I will awaken the dawn" (Ps 57). We learned about David's decision of faith before God that to wake up early in the morning and giving praise and prayers to God even in the great distress of fleeing from his enemy. Many students repented of their lack of faith and made decisions to wake up early in the morning to pray to God.

The main lectures were: Lecture 1 by Joshua Kim (Kwanak 3): "Made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions" (Eph 2:1-10); Lecture 2 by Joshua Lee (Hanyang): “Here I am, speak for your servant is listening" (1 Sam 2,3); Lecture 3 by Seongwon Kim (Wonchun): “For when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Cor 12:1-10).

On day two, a special lecture, “Come over to Macedonia and help us" was given by Msn. Pablo Oh (Former ambassador of Spain).  He gave us his vivid and testimonial message of his experience of God's mighty work of the Holy Spirit as a career diplomat and lay missionary to Brazil, USA, Venezuela, Chile, El Salvador, and Spain, as he was obedient to God.

On day three, in the evening Sh. John Kim (Injae), gave us a message, “Evangelization of Kyoungsang province.” On the last morning, Sh. Sungsoo Kim (Yonhee) gave us a special message on "speed evangelization.”

The closing message, as main lecture 4 was “Have the same mindset as Christ Jesus," was boldly given by Sh. Joshua Jung (Injae).

We deeply thank God for the students who shared their sincere and heart-moving life testimonies and evening testimonies on the second and third days. Through it God made the conference a festival of word and grace, with all attendees saying Amen, laughing and clapping. Nine new students gladly participated and made decisions to follow Jesus as their Savior.  We thank God for many UBF second gens who are going to enter colleges who attended. They renewed their true identity as disciples of Jesus Christ and as the hosts of campus ministry.

In conclusion, this national student conference should continue so that students may know each other beyond the local chapter and renew their true identity in Christ each year.  May God continue to raise all attendees as spiritual leaders to serve Korea and world campus mission. I personally express thanks to all Korea UBF staff shepherds for their service and prayer support for the conference.
