Korea UBF Spring National Staff Conference
On Apr 11th-13th Korea UBF spring staff conference was held at LAVIE D'OR resort in the Kyoungi province of Korea. All 83 staff members attended. The purpose of gathering was for the continued preparation of the 2016 WMR and Missionary Conference in Korea.
Since the conference will be held at the LAVIE D'OR resort, the preparing committee members used this as an opportunity to carefully review the resort’s facilities.
To prepare the Bible study materials for the upcoming Missionary Conference, our staff members had deep Bible studies based on the book of Deuteronomy at the conference site. The content of the Bible study passages were: the three lectures on "If you obey me you will live"(Deu1:1-4:21),”Man does not live on bread alone" (Deu7:1-8:20),”and the song of Moses" (Deu31:1-34:12). Through this Bible study we deeply meditate on God’s word and what it meant to the people of Israel and to us today?
Afterward, there were two more lectures on “People of Samaria also received the Holy Spirit" (ACTS 8:1-40) and on “My chosen instrument" (ACTS 9:1-31).
Through this we learned about the work of the Holy Spirit and how pleased God was with world salvation work through his disciples.
In the course of three days we had intensive Bible study and five lectures. All of us were deeply moved, full of grace, refreshed and strengthened by the word of God.
Each evening, after the program, we all knelt down and prayed together earnestly for the upcoming WMR in Seoul, Missionary Conference, Pastor Abraham Kim’s main message, all other speakers and for the programs.
At the conclusion, Sh. David Kim( Korea UBF director) stressed that the words of Deuteronomy has a special and meaningful message to us and the UBF ministry in this time of the second and third stage of UBF pioneering work in progress. In this he urged us continue to pray earnestly for WMR and the Missionary Conference to be full of grace and God’s word from Deuteronomy. He encouraged us to serve the attending missionaries at the WMR and Missionary Conference with all our hearts and the words of God.
May God fill us and our missionaries fully with world mission vision and passion through The WMR and Missionary Conference.
