Report for 2015 T&P E in CBF

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”    (Dt 6:5, Lk 2:52)

Praise and thank God who sent his one and only Son for our salvation. We thank God for his teaching to our CBF children to love Him with our whole being so that we can maintain father and son relationship forever. And also God helped us to grow in the words of God with our minds and hearts last year. In 2015, we launched “Teacher and Parent Education (T&P E)” program in North America.

  • Purpose: Everyone knows that teacher’s role and its quality are the most essential to the students. However, there is one more important element, parent in our spiritual education for our growing children. According to our 30 plus years serving children ministry in Chicago, we found that the importance of parent’s influence and their role in order to have successful youth ministry, more likely laying the foundation of spirituality upon their children. With these two focuses, teacher and parent, we prepared several power-point lectures for both of them. So it is called as “T&P E” (Teacher and Parent Education). Simply speaking these lectures talk about what they are, and their roles are, how to improve their foundations and influence, what kind of relationship they have with our life of faith as well as mission as biblical stand point.

  • Method:
  1. Visiting chapter and giving lectures for teachers and parents.
  2. Distributing educational books to both teachers and parents. (let them read, learn and utilize in their ministry and home)

  • Lectures:

    • “The godly family in world mission” (Ge 1:28)---relationship between family & world mission
    • “Children ministry” (Lk 2:52)---the purpose of children ministry & how to do it with what

  • Through 2015 T&P E we realized that our visiting, sharing and praying itself encouraged our coworkers who are one or two family ministry as well as multi-family ministry with our common goal, world campus evangelism.  Particularly T&P E is new to us in doing so. However, it is in the Bible and from the Bible, just we didn’t focus it much. We are very much encouraged by positive responses which went through this education although it has been long overdue in our ministry. May God make our families strong based on biblical stand point so that our church become strong in serving campus pioneering and world mission.

Vision and strategy of 2016

Through continuing T&P E in North America ministry,

  • Encouraging and inspiring ministry through visiting
  • Sharing the importance of youth ministry that we can grow together
  • Teachers and parents should be role models for their children so that our growing children may join together in world campus mission.
