"Walk, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!” 

Praise God who blessed the 3rd western Canada UBF summer Bible conference. From August 19-21th, God granted us to have the conference in Blue River, British Columbia, 6-7 hours driving distance from Vancouver. All of Western Canada UBF chapters gathered together: Calgary, Edmonton, Victoria, Evanston, Vancouver 2 (UBC) and Vancouver 1 UBF. Total 66 people attended the conference including the guests, M. Rebekah Lee from Ottawa UBF, S. Timothy Lopez and Bamidele Taiwo from Triton UBF and S. Earnest Chen from Montreal UBF. God granted this wonderful opportunity to get together, hear His words and have mutually encouraging fellowship with one other in Christ.

The conference theme was 'Walk, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!” based on Acts 3:1-10.  Through these words, God really worked in many of the attendees to walk from paralysis in their bodies, minds and spirit by the grace and power of the name, Jesus Christ. God blessed many of us to be filled with joy, new hope and power to live a productive life and serve campus souls in western Canadian universities and the whole world.  

God raised various messengers and testimony sharers from Western Canada.  Earnest Chan (Mark 5, Montreal UBF), Timothy Lopez (Acts 3, Triton UBF), David Chang (Luke 23, Edmonton UBF), Steven Sinclair (Luke 15), John Koo (John 15) and P. Daniel Kwon (Isaiah 61, all from Vancouver UBF 1) delivered their messages. God also raised 10 life testimony sharers: Bamidele Taiwo from Triton UBF, Matthew Son, Christ Yu and Kingsley Nze from Edmonton UBF, Chanveer Janjua, Robin Qian, Mark Gerson, Lena Yang, Onari Kingson and Peter Suh from Vancouver UBF 1. 

On the 2nd day night, there was a vigil, time of devotion and prayer.  Five servants of God prayed one by one with prayer topics such as world mission, North America’s spiritual revival, personal repentance, faith in Christ and asking for the Holy Spirit and all attendees participate in prayer for 1 hour. Through this devotion and prayer, many of us confessed and repented our sins and renewed our faith and God’s calling in Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Thank and praise God!

We saw that God is the God of hope and power. He has been with his servants in western Canada UBF and is using us to expand his kingdom on campuses in Western Canada and the world. God revived missionaries through his word to walk from negative mind, many challenges and difficulties and even a sense of failure. We could be filled with the hope and power of God to continue to teach the gospel of Jesus and raise the disciples of Jesus among campus students.  

Especially, thank God for working mightily in the hearts of students of Western Canada to hear God's words and grow as Jesus' disciples and the Bible teachers through this conference. Some of them are now participating in fishing and teaching ministry and many of them faithfully and regularly study the Bible and attend Sunday worship service. We pray for them to live a powerful life by relying on the name, Jesus Christ. We pray for all of us to repent, put our faith in Jesus Christ and ask for the Holy Spirit to expand the kingdom of God on campuses and live a prosperous life in our study, work and family. We pray to have another summer Bible conference in 2018 and invite more students. May God bless our one to one ministry and raise many disciples of Jesus. Amen!
