Japan UBF Had a Joint SBC
"So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." (Luke 15:20)
We thank God for richly blessing the 2016 Japan UBF SBC with 116 attendees (including 39 CBF/JBF and 4 BBF). The SBC was full of graceful messages and testimonies at a beautiful conference place in Japan. God answered our prayers for the SBC and made it full of joy, love, thanksgiving and repentance while refreshing each one's faith as well.
We especially thank God for the young 2nd gen missionaries and student shepherds (Tokyo UBF) who actively hosted the SBC from the beginning to the end. Among them was Sarah Kim Jr. who served the Bible Quiz to begin the conference opening up all the attendee's hearts to God's word. She also brought her friend Wadanabe Momo to participate in the chorus and the drama.
The Messengers were: Caleb Lee Jr. (main lecture 1 “God's great love” on Luke 15), John Kim Jr. (main lecture 2 for JBF/CBF “Good Samaritan” on Luke 10), Samuel Jung Jr. (evening lecture “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” on Luke 5), Daniel Jung Jr. (main lecture 1 for JBF/ CBF “Boaz's kindness toward Ruth” on Ruth 2), Sarah Noge (Osaka UBF, main lecture 2 “Father Forgive Them” on Luke 23), Mari Lopez (First native shepherd of Japan and missionary to L.A. in USA, main lecture 3 “Gospel will be preached to all nations” on Luke 24).
Testimony speakers: Daniel Kim Jr., Rebecca Choi Jr., Mizhara, Wadanabe Nomo, Woomabayacy, Icco, Sindo Riho. UBF, JBF and CBF Joint Concert were conducted by Danaka Akicco. Music and Drama was served by Joseph Kang Jr., Maria Jung Jr., Ayacco, Wadanabe Momo, and John’s Disciple Team.
There was a world mission night on the first day, reported by the missionaries who came from L.A. and Thailand. They are Mari & Terry Lopez, Maria & Peter Lee (M. Mari and M. Maria both were sent from Japan UBF). Through their heart moving mission reports, we all were greatly encouraged and learned about their mission strategies and devotion to God.
We again thank and praise God for His abundant blessing on the Japan SBC. It was full of grace, joy and life giving words. I personally was greatly encouraged and shed many tears when I heard the heart moving mission report and graceful message testifying to the mighty work of God through M. Mari Lopez's family (currently feeding 15 sheep at L.A. UBF) .Through the SBC, we could confirm and attest to each chapter’s growing discipleship ministry in Japan. We were all greatly encouraged and our faith in God was renewed through the SBC. I pray that our living God may refresh our faith daily so that I and all Japan UBF missionaries may actively serve Japan campus ministry. Please pray that God may enable Japan UBF coworkers to pioneer 47 cities in Japan and send missionaries to 47 Asian nations in the future.
