Leadership Development Workshop
MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS: Send them out to Preach, Drive out Demons, Baptize, Teach
A Leadership Development Workshop (LDW) was held in Chicago from November 3-5, 2016. This was the last workshop in a three-year series devoted to discipleship. As in the previous two years, six topics related to discipleship were covered by committed disciple makers in North America UBF ministry. The basis of the workshop is Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 3:13-14. This year’s topics and participants included: “Identity as Sent Ones: Personally, and in Community” by Abraham McIlhenny, Andrew Christopher, Teddy Hembekides; “Mindset in Ministry: Humility, Faith, Compassion, Hope” by David Kim, Paul Choi, Abraham Kim; “Incarnational Ministry across Cultures” by Mark Yang, Steve Stasinos, Moses Noh; “Preaching and Baptizing” by Philip Lee, Juan Seo, Ron Ward; “Teaching to Obey: Personally, and in Community” by Kevin Albright, David K. Lee, David Won; and “Spiritual Warfare: Authority to Drive out Demons” by Joshua Hong, Andy Stumpf, Stephen Yang, Augustine Suh. In addition, Mother Sarah Barry, Anna Yang, Mark Vucekovich, Augustine Sohn, Jim Rarick, Jose Ahn and Elijah Park participated and gave valuable comments. We are grateful to Sarah Kim and Faith Grady for serving with prayer and delicious food. We pray to refine the contents of each presented topic and to produce a manual. We pray to share this manual all brothers and sisters in the UBF ministry at the 2018 ISBC, as well as with the broader Christian community. Thanks to all who have prayed for and supported this work.
