Bethesda Medical Center Board Meeting
Philippians 1:6, “…that he who began a good work in you will carry it onto completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
The BMC board meeting was held at the center on January 21 with 7 members, including two new members of Dr. Peter Chang and Paul Koh attended. The meeting began with the prayer of Dr. Samuel Yoo. Dr. David Park, chair from Kwangju 3, delivered a brief message based on Philippians 1:6. Dr. Luke Lim gave a review of the financial report in 2016.
The board discussed about several things. First of all, they discussed about the term of the chair. They agreed that it should be 4 years and if necessary, another 4 years. However, the term of the board members is permanent. They are considering inviting native members in the near future. The main issue discussed at this meeting was the investment of savings leftover after building the BMC. They all agreed that Dr. could search out land to buy and construct 1-2 story building for the purpose of using it as a guest house and medical clinic. They also discussed about transporting the used ambulance from Europe. New Jersey UBF promised that they would donate to pay the price of approx. $15,000. The board also discussed about purchasing the digitalized x ray machine and EKG machine, etc. Last of all, they prayed for healing mission. This year, about 40 members joined from Korea, Germany, Canada and USA.
