Summary of East Africa Region Conference Preparation and prayer topics by Mark Yoon
First of all, see the recently revised program and messengers as attached below! The venue has changed due to security and traffic efficiency.
The campus has been closed due to teaching staffs' salary increasing issues with the Government.
However, even if the situation on the campus is back to normal before the conference, we have very limited time to meet our invitation goal. So, for now, we are focusing deeply on our junior leaders, those who graduated this year. For them to prepare deep life-testimonies to renew their salvation grace from God to our ministry and to accept the calling to campus evangelism.
From this week, all main speakers (Shepherd Kevin, Juma and Otieno and three committed graduates Shepherd Davis, Isaac, and Caleb will be having overnight fellowship in Kiswahili, we call it “Kesha" which means we spend the night praying, singing, and writing life-testimonies based on their own passages, and maybe memorizing the passage every Friday night!
In regard to foreign delegates (up to date): Korea (7), USA (5), Africa (3)
Please pray for:
1. the conference prayer topics presented in the attachment.
2. Kenya UBF to be serve as a host chapter.
- For the campus not to be closed. If the campus is still open, but no lectures given, some of our dedicated students and members are able to remain and dedicate their time to prepare for the conference. Otherwise, if the campus is officially closed, those who are currently staying to prepare conference they also have no other choice but to return home if they have no place to stay in Nairobi.
- For graduate members to share deep and heart moving life testimonies at the conference: Shepherds Davis, Caleb, Isaac and Musilli. Shepherdess: Benah, Auma, Rose, Viola, Faith.
3. For foreign delegates’ special program speakers for each night:
Courtney Rinehart (USA), Moses and Maria Lee (Korea), James Odejimi (Nigeria chapter pioneering report)
4. Last of all, we are still looking for one or two strong life-testimony speakers who have heart-moving testimonies of practically serving campus ministry and overcoming life-challenges. We feel this is important for our struggling junior leaders and African shepherds to have fellowship with UBF shepherds globally.
Thank you for your prayer.
