2017 Brazil UBF Easter
Key Verse: Jn 5:8, “Get up! Pick up your mat and work!”
We thank God who abundantly blessed our Easter Conference, titled "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk!”(Jn 5:8). It was held from April 14-16, in our Bible center. Many young people lay down on their mats, paralyzed by sin, addictions and death. But Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). All messages preached Jesus’ victory over death and sin through His resurrection.
Peter Park delivered the main message, based on John 5:1-9. Through this passage, we learned about Jesus’ power that could heal us immediately and completely from our sins when we trusted in His word.
M. Omar López delivered the message, based on 1 Corinthians 15:20-34. Jesus truly resurrected! And through this, not only we will be resurrected on the final day, but we also can experience resurrection in our present lives, putting our hope on His kingdom.
Sam Jeong’s message, based on Luke 7:11-17, revealed Jesus’ compassion for people suffering under the power of death and His vision towards young people, to live a life full of vision and purpose in Him: “Young man, I say to you, get up!” (Luke 7:14).
Every evening, we had a joyful time, praising the Lord and doing a Bible passage memorization contest(1Corinthians 15 or Romans 8). Brothers and sisters sincerely shared their testimonies: Grace, Noah, Roberta, Eunhae, Sarah, Manoela, Samuel, Isaac, Reinaldo and Joshua.
Moreover, we had a graceful fellowship time through GBS, meals and testimony writing and sharing. We thank God and we thank Jesus, for giving us this wonderful conference, for teaching us about His resurrection power and hope for us. How blessed we are! Because we have hope in Christ, we are the most blessed people of all! Amen!
Moses Park delivered the enclosing message, based on 1 Corinthians 15:35-58. How glorious our resurrected body will be! Putting our eyes on that day, we concluded our conference with the verse: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Co 11:58).
Thank you for your prayers.
