Press release by KUKMINILBO (Korea Daily News) regarding Sh. Abraham Chang who won a Grand Prize of  Korea Christian Art Exhibition

"Coming Down From Heaven"

On July 25, Sh. Abraham Chang (DongHo Chang, 56 yrs old, Junju II UBF) received a grand prize of Korean Christian art exhibition from Korean Christian Art Association (President, Yongsook Kim). Through his work of art (western painting) entitled, "Coming down from heaven" he well expressed God's true love pouring down from heaven on the sinsick world and all mankind based on his experience of God's love.

He is serving Junju II UBF, Chonbuk National University and Junju National University of Education as a director of Junju UBF and professor of fine arts education at JNUE. Before meeting Christ he was in deep sorrow with fatalistic thinking since he had been a disabled person with a disabled leg. But God saved him from darkness through the word of God and a UBF summer Bible conference at the age of 26.

He accepted John 9:3, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” After accepting God's true love and divine providence in his life he was convinced that the works of God would surely be displayed in him through using his disability.  At that time he made a vow to God that he would devote the rest of his life for God's glory and he was willingly trained to be a UBF missionary. God enabled him to serve Japan campus mission for about 13 years as a student missionary. He prays that he may continue to reveal God's true love and divine providence in all people through his art work and his personal life.
