2017 UBF Committee Annual Report - Asia Mission Representative by Jacob Lee, UBF HEADQUARTER
Jacob Lee (Washington UBF, USA)
Asia is the most populous continent in the world. We believe that 21st century is the century of Asia because it is a spiritual battle field where Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and communism will collide for their dominion. January 5-7, 2017, 52 precious servants of God who engaged in the spiritual battle in their various mission fields in Asia met together to study the word of God and share their mission reports and have fellowship with each other. The Asia director’s conference was held at New Delhi India.
Missionary Peter Lee from Indonesia gave the opening message based on 1 Peter 1:3-5. The title of his message was “A Living Hope.” He revealed that our real hope is in the resurrection of the dead. Pastor Abraham Kim delivered the main message titled “Look forward to the day of Christ.” based on Hebrews 2 Peter 3:1-18. He encouraged all missionaries to endure hardship by looking at the day of God. He encouraged us to have a holy life in the sight of God. We had 4 group Bible studies based on 2 Peter. Dr. John Angam delivered the closing message based on 1 Peter 4:12-16.
After conference, we enjoyed fellowship by visiting Taj Mahar and other areas in India. Pastor Abraham Kim gave us direction to pioneer 11 countries in Asia like Laos, Myanmar, North Korea, Nepal, Iraq, Iran, Bangladesh, and Vietnam. Next year the Asia director’s conference will be held in Japan from January 4-6, 2018.
On Sunday January 8, we attend Sunday worship service at New Delhi UBF center. God used M. Jimmy Lee by raising up many Indian native leaders. God is working powerfully to convert many Hindu and Muslim students into Christian faith. God also raised up shepherd Samuel Palaka as a fruitful shepherd at DU North. Praise God for the work of God going on in Asian continent.
One word: Look forward to the Day of God
