THE 11th UGANDAN HEALING MISSION REPORT

We saw many patients and treated them with smiling faces but in front of the gloomy reality of the general atmosphere, we just became prayerful for the helpless situation.

The 11th Healing Mission Camp was located in the Midwest of Uganda Hoima. It happened from February 15 to 18, 2018. It was held in two nearby districts, Kyankwanzi and Kakumiro, where a health care center is not available. A total of 35 people participated in the camp, including 23 people from Kwangju UBF III, Gwanak UBF III, Busan and Yuljeon UBF, and 12 people from Uganda UBF. The total participants were less than last year from 5 countries, but it was more specialized in healthcare services. In particular, along with dentistry, pediatrics, internal medicine, and anesthesia, we were able  to provide more diverse health care services strengthened by surgeries, which we did not have in the past years. On the third and fourth days, we held camps in Kakumiro, a village about 80 km south of Hoima. The Village team has worked hard to overcome the tiredness of extra travel and cared for the patients with joy. Last year’s team treated 500 people but in this year’s camp, 2,200 people were treated in the 11th Ugandan Healing Mission. Praise and thank God for this healing camp revealing God’s grace and mercy.
