2019 Easter Conference Report

Isaiah 53:3 “He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem”

Thanks to God for coming to this world and saving our lives. Thank God for allowing us the Easter Conference, which reminded us that we are sinners and that we shouldn’t be indifferent to His great love. We learned that we must please God every moment in our lives.

We went to San Ignacio de Compostela, near the border with Honduras, a refreshing place with many trees.

We were 18 adults and 3 children.

6 sheep didn’t come giving some excuses, and others because of their parents’ fear of the recent student’s kidnapping case.

All the participants were excited about this Conference. What we expected from this Conference was to guard our spiritual lives by standing firm in God.

Verónica Ramírez shared her life testimony, in which she repented from her adultery. She was about to live with a man with whom she already had a house, a car and a business relationship. But at the end she chose Jesus as her husband and left everything.

Now she’s resolved to grow as a shepherd who takes care of the UES sheep. She comes to SWS faithfully despite living far away. We thank God for His great power that was revealed in her life.

Shp. Ruth served by taking charge of the payments, preparing lunch and guiding group Bible Studies. She also brought her sister, who is planning to study Dentistry. Shp. Ruth had to struggle a lot with her father because she persecutes her constantly and insists that she leaves the church. This is why she has to leave quickly as soon as the message is finished. It was very hard for us to know her spiritual state because she got sick frequently and sometimes missed group Bible Studies. But we realized she has been struggling well against men’s temptations. She has kept herself pure, waiting for her “suitable helper” in God’s time. And she has been praying constantly.

Verónica Miranda is an english teacher. She’s been faithful to 1:1 Bible Study and now she’s finishing her thesis. Although her parents are pastors, they don’t let her come to the SWS and they didn’t want her to come to the conference either. But her decision was firm and she came despite her parents’ anger. We pray that God may work in her preciously.

Shp. Jose’s sheep also attended the conference. His name is Guillermo and he studies Industrial Engineering. We pray that he may keep attending, not following his friendship with Shp. Jose but following his Lord Jesus faithfully.

On the other hand, Shp. Jose’s 4 relatives also attended the conference. They liked it very much. They are very pure and simple hearted. We pray that his two nephews, Daniel and Denis, may grow as future servants of God.

We pray that God may help us to take our cross, overcoming our selfishness and indifference to save others.

Reporte de la conferencia de Semana Santa 2019

Isaías 53:3 Despreciado y desechado entre los hombres, varón de dolores, experimentado en quebranto: y como escondimos de el el rostro, fue menospreciado y no lo estimamos.

Ciertamente llevo el  nuestras enfermedades y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado por herido de Dios y abatido.

Damos gracias a Dios por venir a este mundo y salvar nuestras vidas, damos gracias a Dios por permitirnos la conferencia de semana santa que nos recordó cuan pecadores somos y que no debemos ser indiferentes ante su gran amor. Aprendimos que debemos agradar a Dios en toda nuestra vida.

Nosotros fuimos a San Ignacio de Compostela cerca de la frontera con Honduras, un lugar muy fresco y con muchos árboles.

Asistimos 18 personas y 3 niños

6 ovejas universitarias no llegaron por diferentes excusas, y otros por el temor de los padres por un reciente secuestro en la Universidad de una estudiante.

Todos los que asistimos, anhelábamos esta conferencia, el fruto que nosotros esperábamos de esta conferencia era mantenernos con vida espiritual permaneciendo en el camino del Señor.

Verónica Ramírez egresada de contador leyó su testimonio de vida donde se arrepintió de su pecado de adulterio, ella estaba por vivir con un hombre, pues ya tenía su terreno su carro y su negocio con él. Pero al final ella escogió a Jesús como su verdadero marido y dejo todo.

Ahora ella está decidida a crecer como pastora para apacentar a las ovejas de la UES.  Ella viene al servicio dominical fielmente a pesar de vivir lejos. Damos gracias a Dios por el maravilloso poder de Dios que se manifestó en su vida.

P. Rut se encargó de todos los pagos, el lunch y de guiar el estudio de grupo, ella trajo como oveja a su hermana que esta por entrar a la Universidad a estudiar odontología. La P. Rut ha tenido que luchar mucho contra su padre que constantemente la persigue y le insiste que deje la iglesia. Por eso ella tiene que irse rápido en cuanto termina el mensaje, para nosotros era muy difícil conocer su estado espiritual ya que constantemente se enfermaba y a veces faltaba al estudio de grupo. Sin embargo, descubrimos que ella ha luchado bien contra las tentaciones de los hombres que la han hostigado. Ella se ha guardado esperando su ayuda idónea en el tiempo de Dios, pues ha estado en oración constante.

Verónica Miranda es maestra de inglés, ella ha sido fiel en los estudios de uno a uno, ahora está concluyendo su tesis en la carrera de inglés. Sus padres son pastores y no le permiten venir al servicio dominical y tampoco la querían dejar ir a la conferencia, pero esta vez su decisión fue firme pues a pesar del enojo de sus padres vino a la conferencia. Esperamos que Dios trabaje en ella preciosamente.

También asistió la oveja de P. Jose se llama Guillermo, el estudio Ingeniería Industrial, oramos que siga asistiendo, no siguiendo la amistad  del P. Jose sino siguiendo a su Señor Jesús fielmente.

También asistieron 4 integrantes de la familia de P. Jose y les gustó mucho la conferencia ellos son de corazón puro y sencillo. Esperamos que sus dos sobrinos Daniel y Denis crezcan como futuros siervos de Dios.

Oramos que Dios nos ayude a tomar nuestra cruz venciendo nuestro egoísmo e indiferencia para salvar a otros.
