EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR ONE WHO BELIEVES

Mark 9:23: "Jesus said to them: If you can, everything is possible for one who believes."

Preparation

God gave us a beautiful Bible Conference from Thursday, 18 to Saturday, April 20, 2019 on the shores of the most beautiful lake in the world: Atitlán 145 km from the Capital City. At the beginning of the year, it was a dilemma to hold a different conference: a comfortable hotel, more food, a place that attracts attention and relatively away from the City. We needed a little more invest because in general, we have looked for the cheapest. By the grace of

God, P. Silvia found the Hotel Selina in Panajachel (on the shores of Lake Atitlán), accessible, international and comfortable line. M. Josué and M. Ana, found a good dining room and a very nice school to carry out Bible studies and messages. In addition, the missionaries authorized an important reduction to the sheep, so it was very striking and they participated 5 new ladies who are students of the Korean language of M. Josué In total we participate 22. God guided each activity, we had: 1 main message by P. Edwar and 4 biblical readings that the pastors served: Silvia, Rebecca, Sara, and Aurora. The leaders guided the Bible study and the testimonies of their Bible students. Walking together between the hotel, the dining room and conference hall we felt like it was a Family Bible Conference. P. Silvia and my daughter Daniela, supported me in the preparation of the program, questionnaires, hymns and the folder. The family of M. Josué, served with the transport to all the sheep. The coworkers traveled in their own vehicle, so we arrived together to the place of the Conference.

The word

We use as the title of the Conference: "To the one who believes everything is possible", (Mark 9:23). We needed to have faith in God and depend on the guidance of God. Many times we want to live according to our ability, ideas, and strength, which ends in fatigue or complaint. We pray that our guide will be the power of Word of God, always. The Conference was a work for the sisters, as all members were women, and all the shepherdesses served the word of God. P. Silvia, "Have courage" Matthew 14:27; P. Rebeca, "The Cross of Jesus" Luke 23.34; P. Sara, "The Resurrection of Jesus" Matthew 28: 6; P. Aurora "Be strong and take courage" Daniel 10:19. We also studied, "You are the Christ" Mark 8:29. We remembered again the love of God that he gave his only son to rescue us from the darkness of sin, and Jesus must be the King and director of our life. We received a lot of spiritual food and great physical rest. Thank God that the participating members made the decision to come to Bible studies. Therefore, we pray that the new members may study the Bible faithfully with their Bible teachers. Amen.

Testimony

The word "he who believes everything is possible" teaches me again that I need faith in God. Seeing the current of the world, I perform the same routine; I try to solve the difficult situations of my life with my abilities and experiences. I forgot to  look up the word of God and pray. So I must return to God at all times, seek his consolation and help because only he can really help me. Struggling with prayer meetings, fishing, and Bible study, on weekends, I learned that the word of God is the refreshment I need in life. I am very happy for the support I receive from my wife P. Silvia and my daughter Daniela, I pray that we together may grow in the service of the ministry and may God bless us with the new members that they love the word of God.

Prayer topics

1.    I ask God to help us continually seek his word to find his guidance.

2.    I ask God that my family grows in word to serve the ministry and the sheep; and that God guides our self-supporting life.

3.    May God help us to study and serve the word of Mark in this semester.

4.    I pray that the coworkers will continue to be strengthened depending on the word of God.

One word: "Believe in God!"

Conferencia Bíblica de Semana Santa 2019

AL QUE CREE TODO LE ES POSIBLE

San Marcos 9:23: “Jesús les dijo: Si puedes creer, al que cree todo le es posible”.

Preparación

Dios nos regaló una hermosa Conferencia Bíblica del jueves 18 al sábado 20 de abril de 2019 a orillas del lago más bello del mundo: Atitlán a 145 Km de la Ciudad Capital.

Al principio del año, fue un dilema realizar una Conferencia diferente: un hotel cómodo, más comida, un lugar que llame la atención y relativamente alejado de la Ciudad.  Necesitábamos invertir un poco más, pues en general hemos buscado lo más económico. Por la gracia de Dios, P. Silvia encontró el Hotel Selina en Panajachel (a orillas del Lago Atitlán), accesible, línea internacional y cómodo.  M. Josué y M. Ana, encontraron un buen comedor y una escuela muy bonita para realizar los estudios bíblicos y mensajes.

Además, los misioneros autorizaron hacer una rebaja importante a las ovejas, así que fue muy llamativo y participaron 5 nuevas ovejas señoritas que son estudiantes del idioma coreano de M. Josué.  En total participamos 22.

Dios guió cada actividad, tuvimos: 1 mensaje principal por P. Edwar y 4 lecturas bíblicas que sirvieron las pastoras: Silvia, Rebeca, Sara y Aurora.  Las pastoras guiaron el estudio bíblico y los testimonios de las ovejas. Por la logística de caminar juntos entre el hotel, el comedor y la escuela, hubo una historia de buena convivencia, fue como una Conferencia Bíblica Familiar.

P. Silvia y mi hija Daniela, me apoyaron en la preparación del programa, cuestionarios, himnos y el folder.  La familia de M. Josué, sirvieron con el transporte a todas las ovejas. Los colaboradores viajaron en su propio vehículo, así llegamos juntos al lugar de la Conferencia. .

La Palabra

Utilizamos como título de la Conferencia la palabra: “Al que cree todo le es posible”, Marcos 9:23.  Necesitábamos una palabra para buscar nuestra incredulidad y depender de la guía de Dios en la carrera de la fe.  Muchas veces queremos vivir según nuestra capacidad, ideas y fuerza, lo cual termina en cansancio o queja. Oramos para que nuestra guía sea el poder de la palabra de Dios, siempre. La Conferencia fue una obra por y para las hermanas, pues todas las ovejas eran señoritas, y todas las pastoras sirvieron una palabra.  P. Silvia “Tened ánimo” San Mateo 14:27; P. Rebeca “La Cruz de Jesús” Lucas 23.34; P. Sara “La resurrección de Jesús” Mateo 28:6; P. Aurora “Esfuérzate y aliéntate” Daniel 10:19. También estudiamos la palabra “Tu eres el Cristo” Marcos 8:29. Recordamos de nuevo el amor de Dios que entregó a su Higo Unigénito para rescatarnos de la oscuridad del pecado, y Jesús debe ser el Rey y director de nuestra vida. Recibimos mucho alimento espiritual y gran descanso físico.

Gracias a Dios, las ovejas participantes tomaron la decisión de venir a los estudios bíblicos. Por eso, oramos que las ovejas nuevas estudien la Biblia con fidelidad con las pastoras guatemaltecas. Amén.

Testimonio

La palabra “al que cree todo le es posible” me enseña de nuevo que necesito la fe en Dios.  Viendo la corriente del mundo, realizo la misma rutina; trato de solucionar las diferentes situaciones de mi vida con mis capacidades y experiencia.  Se me olvide buscar la palabra de Dios y orar. Así que debo a regresar a Dios en todo momento, buscar su consolación y ayuda, porque solamente él puede ayudarme en verdad.

Luchando con las reuniones de oración, pesca y estudio bíblico, los fines de semana, aprendí que la palabra de Dios es el refrigerio que necesito en la vida.

Soy muy dichoso por el respaldo que recibo de mi esposa P. Silvia y mi hija Daniela, oro que juntos crezcamos en el servicio del ministerio y que Dios nos bendiga con las ovejas que aman la palabra de Dios.

Una palabra: Creer en Dios.

1. Pido a Dios que nos ayude a buscar su palabra continuamente para encontrar su guía.

2. Pido a Dios que mi familia crezcan en palabra para servir al ministerio y a las ovejas; y que Dios guie nuestra vida independiente.

3. Que Dios nos ayude a estudiar y servir la palabra de San Marcos en este semestre.

4. Oro que los colaboradores sigan fortalecidos dependiendo de la palabra de Dios.
