German Coworkers Had a Leaders' Conference (Feb. 20-22, 2020) in Bad Homburg
The conference was held from February 20 to 22 with 41 attendants from 18 chapters in Germany and 4 guests. We are thankful for P. Moses Y., Augustin S., James K. and Andrew K. who came to this conference to support German ministry these days. Reiner S. gave an opening speech reviewing the most important events in 2019. We are thankful that God has answered our prayers to grow in true unity in Jesus based on John 17:21 especially when we prepared the European Summer Bible conference together. And we experienced that God was pleased about the coworking of many and blessed the ESBC beyond our expectations. The annual reports of the chapter directors showed that God blessed through their prayers and Bible studies and sent new students and gave spiritual growth in many chapters.
On Friday morning we studied Mark 10:32-45 in groups and heard a graceful message from Eberhard on this passage. Jesus left his divine nature and is power and glory to serve us and to give his life as a ransom for many. He encouraged us to follow Jesus and serve each other and students and to give our lives for their salvation. In the afternoon we had time to meditate on this passage and write testimonies and share them in our groups. In the evening we heard the annual reports from the remaining chapters and a presentation from two members of the preparation team of Encounter 2020. Timothy L. shared his life testimony and we prayed for him as the new chapter director of Munich 2.
On Saturday we studied Psalm chapter 1 and heard a graceful message of P. Moses Y. He encouraged us to meditate on the word of God day and night and become like a tree that is planted by the water whose leaves will not wither and who bring his fruit at the right time. May God help us to meditate deeply on the word of God day and night and Germany UBF may become like such a tree that bears much fruit. May we deeply receive his grace and serve our students, second gens and coworkers and give our lives for their salvation. Amen!
