LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART

Matthew 22:37-40, "Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

West LA UBF had the blessed wedding of Sh. Deborah and Matthew on 4/24/2021.  While most people in America marry based on their feeling and emotion, Sh. Deborah and Sh. Matthew found a soulmate who can travel to the Kingdom of God together by obeying Jesus’ Great Commission, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart.” Before they came to the Bible study, they also lived based on their feeling and emotions. But through the Bible study, they met the Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ, and began to live a new life.

While they followed Christ, they came to know that they are soulmates and came to love each other dearly. Today let's congratulate and bless their wedding to love God with all their hearts, soul, and mind. And love the people around them like themselves. And take care of their blessed home to be blessed to many people around them.

God commanded us to love God with all our hearts and love the people around us like ourselves. It is because that is the most blessed life. Our Gracious God wants us to be blessed. There is important research. An Educator, A. E. Winship decided to trace the descendants of Pastor Jonathan Edwards almost 150 years after his death. His findings are remarkable, especially when he compared to another man from the same time period known as Max Jukes, the criminal. Pastor Jonathan Edward loved God and the people around him dearly, but Max Jukes loved his desires. The result is following:

Jonathan Edward Family Line for 150 years

Max Jukes Family Line for 150 years

1 U.S. Vice-President,

1 Dean of a law school,

1 dean of a medical school,

3 U.S. Senators,

3 governors,

3 mayors,

13 college presidents,

30 judges,

60 doctors,

65 professors,

75 Military officers,

80 public office holders,

100 lawyers,

100 clergymen,

and 285 college graduates.

7 murderers,

60 thieves,

190 prostitutes,

150 other convicts,

310 paupers,

and 440 who were physically wrecked by addiction to alcohol.

Of the 1,200 descendants that were studied, 300 died prematurely.

That is the reason why God commands us to love God and people dearly. That is the blessed life. In this difficult generation, we blessed Deborah’s and Matthew's wedding. They didn't find the emotional, feeling, and lust partner, but soulmates who will serve God together, love each other and love people around them like themselves. They are establishing a blessed home where they and their future children will be blessed.

One Word: Love the Lord your God with all your heart!
