Thank you so much for your ongoing prayer for M. Anna Yang. Could you please pray for her surgery on February 21? The surgery is to remove a small part of her lower jawbone of her infected area, pulling off 5 teeth and replacing them with bone from the leg bone. A team of doctors will operate this surgery for 10 to 12 hours. She will stay in hospital for about a week after the surgery.

The prayer topics are as follows:

1. Doctors may perform a safe and successful surgery 
2. The fundamental cause of her osteomyelitis may be completely removed
3. She may recover fully and quickly from the surgery without any side effects or complications

양안나 선교사님을 향한 기도지원에 감사드립니다. 2월 21일에 잡힌 수술을 위해 긴급 기도부탁을 드립니다. 수술은  5개의 아래 치아들을 빼고 죽은 뼈를 제거한 후 다리뼈에서 손가락 크기만큼 잘라내어 턱에 이식하는 것입니다. 10-12 시간 걸리는 큰 수술입니다. 수술 후 7일간 병원에 입원하여 치료를 받을 것입니다.

기도 제목은 다음과 같습니다.

1. 의사들의 손을 주장하사 안전하고 성공적인 수술이 될수 있도록
2. 만성 골수염의 원인이 근본적으로 제거될 수 있도록 
3. 부작용이나 수술 후유증이 없이 온전하고 빠른 회복 주시도록

Here is an update for Msn. Anna Yang (1/23/2022)

No infection was found. CT scan revealed that bone infection (chronic osteomyelitis) caused by the side effects of Osteoporosis medicine, which was the very reason she got an emergent surgery in 2020, was the root cause of all her pains. This is a rare non-infectious and bacterial case. 

Currently, she is taking medicine for her pain and suffers from some side effects such as diarrhea on her medication.  The side effects, such as severe bone infection, fever, or toothaches, of chronic osteomyelitis, can recur anytime whenever she feels tired, weak, or exhausted. Further MRI examination will be needed. Please keep praying for her that all side effects of medicine may be gone, and she may be fully recovered. Thank you so much for all your prayers.

양앤나 선교사님 관련 업데이트입니다. 

검사결과 염증 수치가 제로이며 염증은 없고 깨끗한 상태라고 합니다. CT 촬영을 통해 모든 통증의 원인이 재작년 수술의 원인이었던 골다공증 약의 부작용으로 인한 만성 골수염 (Chronic osteomyelitis)이 근본 원인으로 잠정 밝혀졌습니다. 이는 희귀한 케이스로 염증이 없는, 박테리아로 인한 골수염이라고 합니다.

현재 약을 처방 받아서 드시고 계신데, 그 부작용으로 심한 설사를 하고 계시기에 필요한 약 처방을 기다리고 있습니다. 골수염이 잠재해 있어서 무리하시면 지금과 같은 증상이 나타나는데 건강을 잘 관리하는 것이 중요함을 알게 되었습니다. 신경과 MRI 를 통해 더 자세한 원인을 알고자 준비하고 있습니다.  계속해서 약의 부작용이 멈추고 건강을 온전히 회복하실 수 있도록 기도 부탁드립니다. 모든 기도에 진심으로 감사합니다!!

Yesterday (1/19), she was admitted to the ER due to a high fever and acute toothache. Our guess is that she was overworked during the recent Korean trip and thus her immune system might have been dropped due to a trigeminal nerve infection since she has undergone emergent surgery last year. Please pray for her: (1) to identify the root cause of all her pain & infection, 2) to receive healing from her fever & pain, and to recover fully through proper rest, and (3) to protect her from Covid-19.

시카고에 양앤나 선교사님 긴급 기도 제목입니다.

양앤나 선교사님께서는 현재 한국에 계시는데, 어제 (1/19) 갑자기 얼굴에 심한 열과 치통 등으로 안암병원 응급실에 입원하셨습니다. 삼차 신경에 염증이 계속 있으셨는데 재작년 큰 수술 이후 한국 여행등 무리하셔서 면역력이 떨어진 것이 원인인듯 합니다. 전체적인 검사를 통해 염증의 근본 원인 진단과 근본적인 치료, 면역력회복과 코로나로부터 보호해 주시고, 치통과 열이 빨리 떨어지고 안정을 통해 온전히 몸이 회복되실 수 있도록 기도부탁드립니다. 감사합니다.
