I (L*uke Kim) would like to share with you the news and prayer topics of Phnom Penh ministry in Cambodia. My wife L*ydia and I had served the disciple-making ministry in the C country for past 22 years. I came to Phnom Penh on November 15th, 2021, and L*ydia joined the Phnom Penh UBF on December 15th, a month later. God gave us 2 Corinthians 5:14, “The love of Christ compels us” and Romans 1:13, “so that we may bear fruit among you as among the Gentiles.” I've been living in Cambodia for nearly 9 months now. I'm learning Cambodian Khmer through a school class, and the culture and history of this place through the Cambodian culture and history lectures by a local missionary here. Also, I am learning about the pioneering ministry and work from the family of J*oseph Lee and I*saac Seo, who came here in advance to serve God's mission.

Cambodia was a land of death with deep wounds. 2 million people, a quarter of the total population of 8 million, were massacred under the tyranny of the communist far-left Polpot regime in the past four years from 1975-79. Since 1990, Cambodia opened its door to Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, and Catholicism and is now becoming a land of hope and life, a land of resurrection. We believe that this poor and spiritually barren land will train disciples of the Lord with the devotion and service of our missionaries and missionaries from all over the world. We are praying that it will become a land of vision.

Our thanksgiving and prayer topics:
1. We both have diabetes. I pray that we can humbly take good care of our health and give the rest of our lives to God as missionaries.
2. I pray that God gives us love and compassion for the young souls of Cambodia.
3. I pray to conquer the Khmer language and be a fruitful self-supporting missionary as an oriental doctor.
4. I pray for the raising of 12 disciples of Jesus as we co-work together with J*oseph & G*race Lee and I*saac & R*ebecca Seo.
