IT IS FINISHED!

We held our Easter bible conference from the evening of Thursday 6th April 2023 to Sunday, April 9th. Our conference theme was based on John 19:30 “It is finished!” A total of 118 attendants joined this conference. Among them were 48 first-year students, 14 senior leaders, and missionaries, 23 junior leaders, and 33 second gens. One month before the conference, all of the senior leaders dedicated much prayer for the conference planning and preparation. Our junior leaders served all the messages for the conference.

We divided the messengers among the three senior leaders (Kevin, P. Juma & Nickson) and two missionaries’ families (Jeremiah & Esther, Joshua & Pauline) who were dedicated to supporting and helping the messengers early enough. This gave us a beautiful co-working between our local leaders and missionaries and all were really blessed and served joyfully together. Kevin served us with a powerful message from Mathew 22:4 titled “Come to the wedding banquet” It opened our hearts to accept Jesus' invitation to experience the power of Jesus' cross through the conference.

Three main messages and evening messages were served by brothers while the morning messages were served by sisters all from among the junior leaders who are all graduates. Main message #1 (What is your name? – Mark 5:9) was served by Davis, Main Message #2 (It it’s finished- John 19:30) was served by Fredrick, and Main Message #3 (Go and make disciples of all nations- Mathew 28:29-20) was served by Cosmas. Two evening messages- (Put out into deep water- Luke 5:4) were served by Fred and the second one (Cost of being Jesus disciple- Mathew 16:24) was served by Brian. Finally, the three-morning messages were served by Rose on Friday (Neither do I condemn you- John 8:11), Edith on Saturday (Your faith has healed you- Mark 5:34) and finally Sunday morning message was served by Christine (He is risen! - Mark 16:6).

On top of these, brothers James (graduate), Cliffton (Graduate), Moses (Finalist student), and William Ochieng (Finalist student) serve as testimony speakers for each of the main 1 & 2 messages and evening messages respectively. The Holy Spirit worked powerfully in this year’s Easter bible conference (EBC). Our second Gens also had their own full conference program led by Nancy who co-worked beautifully with missionary Esther. We could see the powerful work of God among the children who whenever they came out of their hall, they were joyfully singing and still narrating the memory verses from their own contest. We pray that God may continue to build our CBF with a solid foundation to serve God’s ministry in the future.
