“He Has Risen”

Brisbane UBF had a historical Easter Retreat at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort during April 8-9, 2023 titled, “He Has Risen” with 12 attendees (10 joined in person and 2 joined via Zoom). M. David and Sara P., David K., Stephen K., and Daniel H. first shared their testimonies on Luke 23:26-56, "Father, forgive them!" Through the testimony sharing, we were reminded that Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross and brought us the forgiveness of our sins. Then we had a group bible study on Luke 24:1-53 (He Has Risen) and prepared ourselves for the Easter Sunday message. On 9th April, M. David P. delivered a graceful and powerful message on Luke 24:1-53 titled, “He Has Risen". He vividly showed us the change of different witnesses of Jesus' resurrection and planted the resurrection faith in our hearts based on God's words. Through the message, we saw the glory of Jesus as the Risen Christ and came to have the desire to live out our resurrection faith.

I thank God for blessing our loving unity abundantly with the power of the Holy Spirit in this Easter Retreat. Through this Easter retreat, I saw the power of Jesus' gospel through the spiritual growth of David K., Stephen K., and Daniel H. The gospel faith was also renewed in my heart. May God continue to bless our Luke's gospel study so that we can grow in our faith in Jesus the Risen Christ and His gospel. May God empower Brisbane UBF to be witnesses of Jesus in Brisbane campuses and raise disciples of Jesus through the 1-to-1 Bible study ministry!
