(Latin America) A Leadership Succession Lecture was Held for Korean Missionaries in Latin American
by M. Noe C.
In a recent lecture on leadership succession and localization, Dr. Esteban C. provided valuable insights and guidance to Korean missionaries in Latin America. The lecture delved into the reasons behind localization, the key components that should be localized, the strategies to adopt for effective localization, and the dilemmas that can arise during the localization process.
Dr. Esteban began the lecture by shedding light on the importance of localization. He emphasized that while leadership transition is inevitable in any organization, ensuring a smooth transfer of leadership from one individual to another can be challenging. Localization, he argued, is the key to overcoming these challenges and ensuring continuity and success. He addressed four main questions: 1. Why localization? 2. What should be localized? 3. How to localize? 4. What dilemmas do you face when localizing? Following the insightful lecture, Dr. Esteban shared the motives behind the leadership transfer at Santa Cruz UBF1 in Bolivia, detailing the transfer process and the problems that arose in the aftermath.
The lecture series will continue on August 14th, with M. Jose A. sharing stories about the background and the first stage of Latin Pioneering.
