“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” (Psalm 23:6)
When I looked back over the last five years at U of I, I found that God made me lie down in green pastures and restored my soul. I had several financial difficulties. However, God helped us to receive help from many places, including the US and Korean governments, so that I could survive here with my wife and two children. I also had difficulties with my studies at the end that I also got into a situation where I had no other choice but to return to Korea without finishing my PhD. However, God still helped me to make a good arrangement for my visa and the defense, and I passed the defense with the help of God. God provided me the word of God through Dr. Sam and helped me to see the passion and the sacrifice of U of I coworkers. Through Deeper Roots in Christ, God helped my family to serve students on the campus and helped me to meet many exemplary Christians in the church. When I consider myself the owner of my life, life became more and more weary. However, when I changed my focus and looked at God instead, I found that he prepared everything necessary for me.
Psalm 23:6 says that surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. I pray that I may trust in his goodness and mercy regardless of where I am going to be. Now I have moved to California and found that it is going to be another challenge to survive in a new place. However, as God has led my life so far, I believe that his goodness and mercy will continue to follow me.
Please pray for me:
1. to be a source of blessing at the stanford ministry.
2. to be united in mind with Msn. Andrew and Anna Hwang's family
3. to search for the lost souls at Stanford Univ
4. God's guidance for the future direction and visa problem
