“Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”(Luke 7:14)

Tepic UBF held an Easter conference with 17 attendees on April 17 – 20, 2014. God provided a wonderful place for this conference through my patient’s son in this difficult time to find a place. It was located 25 minutes from Tepic and was quiet and spacious. The theme of this conference was “From Death to Life”. While preparing the conference, I was struggling to find in what sense these young Mexicans are dying spiritually and how they can receive Jesus’ life.

We had an opening message: “Young man, Get up!” by Shepherd Noah, and three main messages; “Living Water, Jesus” (John 7), “Seek First his Kingdom and his Righteousness” (Matt 6), “You Must be Born Again” (John 3). All these messages were prepared newly according to the main theme and became life giving messages to the young Mexican men those who were dying seeking human love, worldly pleasure, greed of worldly success and future anxiety. We also had two morning messages; “Suitable helper” (Gen 1), “Daniel’s Resolution” (Dan 1). These messages taught us about healthy family and godly relationships and the life of faith.

For this conference I translated eight life testimonies written by shepherds in Namsan UBF and gave them to shepherds and sheep to read. They learned and were inspired to write deep testimonies by reading them. Especially one sheep named Irving wrote a deep testimony and found hope of new life in Jesus. He may finish the course of third year of high school that he had failed and get into Uan University. S. Ester served meals for conference and delivered the third main message with spirit. S. Lucero works in the civil engineering department with another job “Organo Gold” to make money for comfortable life, skipping worship service. She repented and made a decision to live by faith. My first daughter, Victoria, shared her wonderful testimony being a good example. She had learned writing testimonies from her mom. Now she writes a graceful testimony without S. Ester’s help and gives me comfort and joy. S. Noe has been faithful to writing testimony and feeding sheep, working at a big tool store with a small salary. For this conference he coworked well with me, taking care of detailed things. I served this conference, leading sing-a-long and morning devotion and delivered the first main message. On the third day we all wrote and shared testimonies. I thank God for the word of life and wonderful place and sending eight sheep for this conference. I will finish the duty of social service for medical school on July. I pray that I may seek his kingdom and righteousness first through studying and teaching Bible and raising up disciples.
