Obedience that comes from faith

“Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.”

Part 1. Review

Thank God for blessing 2013 Indiana, PA International Bible conference with the theme “so loved”. Thank God for using UBF ministry to bring the love of God to the world. Surely God wants us to see the world as the ripe harvest field so that we can go out to bear fruit that lasts forever. Thank God that Ryan and Adam from UA could attend to share God’s vision and his love with us. M. Rebekah and I also served foreign delegates as coordinators for transporting them from Pit. airport to conference site. After the conference we hosted m. Barnabas and Luke from Sri-Lang ka in Akron.

We attended Bonn UBF 30th year anniversary in Germany. It’s great to see the wonderful work of God in Germany when handful of lay missionaries gave their 5 loaves and 2 fish by faith to the Lord.

Thank God that we could support one missionary family in Africa financially for a year. Now we are supporting one local Pastor who is a Ph.D student for a year. Thank God that 7 second Gens. led by Prof. G. K. from Y. B., C. visited Akron UBF for their vision journey. We invited Dr. Samuel H. and Anna Lee to hear wonderful work of God in Zimbabwe and saw a possible mission field for us to go there as silver missionaries.

As we participated in Kimnet conference, God encouraged us to see the beautiful tent maker ministry we are doing. We made many friends. Afterward as we visited Philadelphia UBF.

We hosted GLR meeting and served them with meals and tour. We eagerly pray to be encouraged and connected regionally as a body of Christ.

We have supported campus group bible study led by Brandon and Adam. This is a small group. We pray that this may be a stepping stone to reach UA student with the gospel of God.

Our one to one Bible students are Ryan, Sarah and Whitney. We pray that they may continually grow to be disciples of Jesus.
We are thankful for David and Lisa who have attended our SWS faithfully. God may help us to evangelize our community too. Paul our first son serves God’s work in Washington UBF as a group bible study leader and a Pianist. God blesses his job as a researcher. His wife Sarah is successfully finishing her master course in George Washington Univ. My second son Jacob in Chicago became a fellowship leader and is growing as a spiritual leader and a pharmacist manager. His wife Eunmi diligently feeds sheep as she takes care of two little children.

Especially I am thankful because of my wife RK for her prayer and faithfulness. God has protected her as she drives for work in Cleveland. Despite my faults and shortcomings God has sustained us. It is only by God’s grace that I can pray and serve one family house church.

Part 2. Vision and Strategy
This year my theme song is “Fairest Lord Jesus.” Through that we may love J and live for his name sake based on . is my life key verse which gives me a clear direction. This year I want to focus on “obedience that comes from faith”. My life of mission will bear fruit by teaching obedience that comes from faith. Without it I may only produce wishy-washy disciples. For that I may learn “Obedience that comes from faith” and practice it.

Prayer topics are:
To love Jesus from my heart and learn obedience that comes from faith.
To have disciple making ministry
God may send harvest workers for UA campus and beyond.

One word: ‘Obedience that comes from faith.’
