The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
-John 1:14

Cologne UBF had a blessed joint Christmas worship service on December 22, 2013 with co-workers from Cologne, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Wuppertal, and Frankfurt. Andreas Krahwinkel delivered a message, "God became man," based on John 1:1-18. He began the message by singing the oldest Christmas song in Cologne's history, Es ist ein Ros entsprungen (“Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming”) and talked about the love of our God who entered the world as flesh and offers salvation and light to all who believe. This is the reason we celebrate Christmas.

After the Christmas worship service, we had several special programs. Cologne I & II choir sang a German song, Wir verkündigen euch große Freude, based on verses from Luke 2. Düsseldorf United also sang a special song together, and one coworker from Mongolia UBF who is now in Düsseldorf, Miga, danced a traditional Mongolian dance. Cologne UBF’s newest band, “Blessing Hands,” made up of several senior coworkers, performed its debut with several joyful and spirited Christmas songs. The program closed with a Kinderchor and a Christmas video made by the JBF. We are thankful for a blessed Christmas service, where we could meet together to celebrate Jesus’ birth into the world and to worship Him as our Lord and Savior.

Frohe Weihnachten/Merry Christmas!
