Dear precious prayer co-workers,

I want to request your prayers for South Sudan. Heavy gunfire is still in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, since a rebel group of soldiers attacked the army headquarters near Juba University, attempting a coup on Sunday evening. More than twenty people have reportedly been killed and hundreds of civilians are fleeing their home to seek refuge, the UN said. All the offices and markets have been closed and the curfew is in effect for the city during the night. Telephone lines and the Internet are down now.

Please pray for our leaders’ safety (In Juba: Shp Padiet Deng and in Malakal: Dr. Oyor Moses). Please pray for Shp Padiet Deng to get an entry visa of South Africa and purchase an airline ticket without any problem so that he may attend the upcoming New Year Directors’ Conference in Botswana.
