Have faith in God

We also had Easter conference during March 28-31.  The title of the conference was “Have faith in God”.  Living in this troubled world, we are struggling to serve the work of God.  We used to complain about our fatalistic human condition.  But the Holy Spirit rebukes our unbelief.  So we chose ‘Have Faith in God’ as the main title of our conference.   

The total participants including 5 kids were 70.   I think this was the most attendants we’ve had in Bolivia UBF history.  There were 20 new sheep who participated in the UBF conference for the first time.  They are the fruits of our campus fishing and campus Friday meeting.  Fourteen of them accepted 1:1 Bible study invitation after the conference.   

Two years ago, we built our own beautiful UBF Bible center. We had expected that being attracted by our beautiful center, our sheep would come to us.  But it did not work.  We repented our unbelief. We obeyed Lord’s command: Go and make disciples of all nations, and we went fishing more actively and held Friday meeting on the campus.  Many sheep, at least, 20 to 35 came to our Friday worship and made a shepherd – sheep relationship with us.  

Before, we had had the strong preconception that it is very difficult to gain a new sheep through campus fishing. But through this conference, our negative preconception was broken. In this conference, we also had a special ceremony to appoint Javier, Moses and Daniel as shepherds.  And we renewed the vision to pioneer the three cities in Bolivia, La Paz, Cochabamba and Sucre by 2015.  May God establish 24 house churches by 2015 in Bolivia.
