A Letter from David Kang, Honduras
Honduras UBF, Latin America
April 2, 2013
I would like to give you a brief update on the work of God in Honduras. After the gunshot incident, I am healthy and having a normal life as before. Through the help of one professor who came to visit me after the incident, I was invited to teach the Korean Language in the National University. Since February, for the last three weeks, I have been teaching Korean to the education major students of the National University. Right now, Korean is an extra-curricular class because it was never offered before. But from the next semester, Korean may become one of the second languages to take in the curriculum along with English. This semester I have 30 students in my Korean class. I am praying that by his grace God may grant me an office which I can also use for one-to-one Bible studies on campus. We do not have a Bible house yet.
In our ministry, three young people are growing: Henry, Xiomita and Ana Lucia. They have been studying the Bible for the last three years and we pray that they may grow as shepherds this year. I thank God for the encouragement through the worldwide prayer support and many letters from coworkers. Because of that, I am serving the Lord’s work in good health.
I will be visiting Korea in April. My mother passed away last year, but I couldn’t visit. Through this visit, I want to visit my mother’s tomb and comfort my father. Also, I will have my health check-up. Thank you very much for your continuous prayers for us.
