Second Prayer Meeting for World Mission and ISBC, Chicago UBF
Chicago UBF
March 11, 2013
We had the second united prayer meeting on the evening of March 8 at the Chicago center. Following joyful gospel songs led by the Jeon family and loop UBF leaders and two testimonies, Christian delivered a message based on Mark 11:17a, "My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The Jewish temple and the Christian church have been used for all kinds of things over thousands of years they’ve existed, but in this passage we hear from Jesus himself what his heart’s desire is for the use of his house. Jesus’ house, the church, should be a source of prayer and blessing for the world. When we come together during our monthly prayer meetings for the next four months, let’s devote ourselves to using our center as a house of prayer for all nations in obedience to Jesus’ words. We saw an interview with Walter Nett live from Germany to learn how we can pray for him, his chapters and his country. We also saw a video interview of Magnai from Mongolia to learn about their chapters. After the video clips we moved on to part B of the program, which was an hour of prayer for our UBF chapters in 95 countries divided by campus.
During the next united prayer meeting in April we will pray according to the prayer topics from 39 American missionaries who are now in foreign countries as well as from our 110 US and Canadian UBF chapters.
