March 5, 2013

Chongro 1, 2, 7, Kwanak 3, 5, Hwarang, the New Suwon, and Jeongneung 2 UBF Centers got together and had a united leaders Bible conference last weekend for two days (2/23/13 & 2/24/13, Saturday & Sunday) at Youngsan Training Center in Paju, Kyungki Province of S. Korea for the preparation of the coming spring semester. A total of 400 people attended.

First, Professor Youngdon Park gave us a special lecture with the title, “A Right Understanding about the Holy Spirit.'' On Saturday evening, Sh. Abraham Jeong served the first main lecture with the title of “Dry Bones Changed into a Large Army” based on Ezekiel 37.

Sh. Abraham delivered the message with  great confidence that God is not only raising us up who are like dry bones as a great army with the words of God, but also using us to raise up campus souls as well who are lying on the campus like dry bones. After the message we all made a decision to live as a strong army of God through writing our own reflections, in which all of us revealed our dry bones such as our inmost beings that need to be healed before the Lord.

On Sunday, Sh. Moses Yoon served the second main lecture and his spirited message was based on Ezekiel 47. In the message he clearly testified that the water gushed out from Jesus, the true temple, and made us alive even though our souls were dead like the Dead Sea and enables the whole world to live.  It was a good time for us to accept the spiritual direction that we must drink enough of the living water of the words of God and clothe ourselves with full vitality and carry out the mission of helping the campus souls who are dying in sins like dying in the Dead Sea to drink the living water.

Thank God for giving a clear spiritual direction through the two main lectures from Ezekiel for us to serve the coming spring semester in March.

Also the location of the Retreat Center was close enough to get there within an hour from Seoul, the lodging facilities were excellent and the food was also very good.  So, all the leaders have been well satisfied for two days and one night and decided to have the fall conference as well at the same place in November.

I pray that God may abundantly bless all Chongro, Kwanak and the other three new pioneering chapters who attended this conference and enable each chapter to mightily serve this coming spring semester and raise many disciples of Jesus. I pray also that all leaders may arise as a great army of God and enjoy the plentiful living water overflowing from Jesus and share with the sheep and live a blessed shepherd life. Amen!
