2013 International Summer Conference is around the corner.
Last Friday, February 15th, members from Chicago chapters began a six month prayer campaign to pray for all nations in anticipation of the upcoming conference in August.  We sang a hymn in five languages. Jason Havey (NEIU) and David Weed (UIC) shared reflections on Philippians 2:7. Pastor Mark Vucekovich shared the heart of Jesus from John 10:16 for his scattered sheep. Jesus wants to gather them up from all over the world, so that they too may hear his voice and know him, as he knows them. That is the motivation for world mission.

Pastor Abraham Kim shared three prayer topics for the summer conference:
  1. That all may know the glory of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit through studying John 13-17 at the conference,
  2. North American people may be inspired with world mission vision,
  3. UBF members around the world may catch God's vision for a new generation.
Members from 11 campus ministries divided and prayed at least one hour for 80 nations of the world. Prayer topics and information for all these nations were gathered from Operation: World and disseminated to all Chicago campuses a week in advance to be read through and prayed over. This covered God's work in that nation at a high level, giving a full picture of what God is doing in that nation, both in thanksgiving topics and pressing needs. In the coming months, prayer topics will become more focused on student ministry in that nation, and also UBF mission work. God has inspired a spirit of prayer for all nations. All members are invited to join in this prayer. If materials are needed, Little Sarah Kim is willing to share them with all who ask (little.sarah121@gmail.com).
