In Order to Please God

Key Verse Hebrews 11:6
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

A Review of 2012
1. Missionary Petra finished her masters in the mission field

Missionary Petra was pregnant with our third child when she came to Macedonia seven years ago. She had so little that she could barely have survived one month. Still, she made a decision to serve the mission in Macedonia. Three years later, God gave her our fourth child. In her distress, she lost her hair and suffered from depression. Despite her problems, God allowed her to challenge her master’s studies. In her late thirties, she was still able to finish her degree. Through this success, she gained self-esteem and challenged one to one Bible study with Jesus’ sheep. She said that she wants to go for her doctorate. I thought how much we need money and felt burdened. On the other hand, it was so good to see how my co-worker became so alive as a courageous servant of God. We are praying that Missionary Petra may officially teach Cyril and Methodius Korean at the university.

2. We thank the Lord for letting our business grow
When I started up the first Korean company in our area seven years ago, I did not know anything and was directionless. I was cheated by cheaters. If we could not sell all the ramyen noodles, we always had to eat the ramyen at home. God allowed me by faith in the five loaves and two fish, to let 5,000 people taste test ramyen. Then God helped me to start getting in the black. Despite the recession, God allowed my business to grow by 30%. God sent Dr. John Jun with CME (Continuing Missionary Education) and gave me vision and faith for my business. When I viewed not only Macedonia, but Kosovo and Albania with faith, they seemed to be like delicious bread to me. I am praying to include in my business Kosovo next year and the year after that Albania. I am praying that God will send out missionaries in this way and broaden the space of our tents.

Outlook for 2013
I received Hebrews 11:6 as key verse for 2013. When the visible fruit did not appear, the zeal and faith that was present in the beginning disappeared. I felt lonely. In that moment and thought that I should only lead my business well and raise the children. When I lost my faith, I could not please God. I did not see the rewarding God. God allowed me to realize that I should rejoice over my prophetical office instead of the visible successes. Through training I should have a pure faith. I pray to repent of my unbelief and make God happy in 2013.

Prayer Topics
  1. To take one hour for Daily Bread every day and to write a testimony weekly and to prepare the message deeply;
  2. To have five one to one Bible studies every week and to raise an Abraham of faith;
  3. To lead a financially independent life well and to raise the children well.
One Word: Without faith it is impossible to please God
