On January 26, 2013 (Saturday), Jongno Center of Korea UBF headquarters held the Daily Bread chapter-coordinator's conference. Roughly 100 coordinators from each local chapter gathered together for the New Year conference.

First, we held a group Bible study divided into 7 groups based on Psalm 119:129-148. The theme was “The unfolding of your words gives light.” Sh. Moses Kim from Anam center gave us the main message which was very humorous and heart-moving based on his own experiences. Through the group Bible study and the main message, we all deeply learned that it is only when we open the Bible that the light can shine.

After the main message, Sh. Jong Hyun Chung from Kwanak 5 UBF shared his reflection of God’s grace which he received through daily bread every morning. Although he is busy studying Physics in the Master’s program of SNU (Seoul National University), he testified that God trained through the "Daily Bread" every morning to be a faithful and an independent man of God—even in the mist of busy graduate school life. Following the reflection, Professor Dr. Kwang Peel Ko from Hoseo Univ. gave us a special lecture entitled “Calvin's Bible reading.” There are various approaches to Bible reading, but Calvin’s Bible reading in particular was pious Bible reading. Through this lecture, we learned that we have to read the Bible as the God’s words to us, and we must obey these words.

Afterwards, there was a reward ceremony followed by Shps. Jae Eun Lee’s advertisement about the nuts and bolts of management of daily bread business. A total of 34 brothers and sisters got rewards, who are from 16 chapters, Kwanak 3, Kwanak 5, Hansung, Seogang, Chongro 2, Chongro 7, Yeonhee, Sejong, Hanyang, Kwangju 1, 3, & 6, Bae Bong 1, Wonju, Jeju, Sooncheon, Seongdong. Those rewarded were people who took the daily bread every morning without fail in the year of 2012. I pray that in the next year, all UBF brothers and sisters may continue to take “Daily Bread” every day and open the Bible and get the light shining from the words of God.
