JESUS, PRINCE OF PEACE

Happy Birthday Jesus! I thank God who granted us Sunday, Dec. 16, to share the Christmas with our sheep and family to adore our Good Shepherd and King Jesus. We held our service in the Church of Peace (La Iglesia de Paz) near our center due to logistical problems. The title of our service was Jesus the Prince of Peace based on Isaiah 9:6. The Guatemalans long for peace but we realized that we cannot find peace in anything that the world offers whether it be studies, work, family, or the strong arm of the government that promises to protect us but can’t.

During the preparation everyone served responsibly depending on Jesus without any complaining. They did everything voluntarily from their hearts: message, program, praise music, etc. Because of doing everything only to worship Jesus our King, God sent more than 60 participants in spite of the absence of our director M Josue and his wife M Anna who were in Chicago, USA for a furlough.

This year many new sheep participated with great joy, like brothers Luis Franco and Pedro Gregorio. Sh Rosario and his sheep Ileana prepared an environment by serving food. Shs Silvia worked patiently together with second gens to serve the orchestra and dance. Sisters Rebecca and Esther Ham served Taekwondo dance to adore Jesus the Prince of Peace. I thank God who raised up faithful servants who served to the end. By the united struggle of all our coworkers, our WS started on time and finished victoriously for God’s glory.

We met Jesus our Eternal Father, the true reason for Christmas! The motive of Christmas is not the Christmas tree, presents, food, or Santa Claus; it is Jesus the Prince of Peace, our Immanuel who is always with us and who protects us. Many say “Merry Christmas!” without knowing the meaning. But I pray to share Jesus, my Savior, who forgave all my sins as the real motive of Christmas that gives us true peace. May Jesus, the Prince of Peace, reign in your heart, your home, and your family today and always. Amen
