December 31, 2012

By the grace of God, I was able to visit Belize. Missionary Jacob delivered the message on Sunday. It was different to have Christmas worship service while we were sweating with a temperature of around 80 degrees F. Students came from near and far away to worship. Some students came by bus, traveling for almost 2 hours.

While I visited Belize, one word of "ALL IN" came to my heart. Missionary Moses and Sarah put everything including their whole hearts to serve Belize students. The environment of Belize reminded me of Korea in the 1960s. Missionary Sarah learned almost all of the Belizean dishes, and we all enjoyed her home-cooked meals.

Through their lives in Belize, I could imagine the lives of all missionaries who gave their lives to serve Korean people in the 50s and 60s.

Missionary Moses and Sarah seem much happier as full-time missionaries there. I truly see what we can do when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. What makes them to leave everything behind, and happily, joyfully serve souls in Belize? I was confirmed that it was the Holy Spirit who moved their hearts to settle down in Belize in spite of very poor surroundings. Praise and thank God for the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of Missionaries Moses and Sarah! I was challenged to ask myself, "Can I love American students like them?" May the Lord have mercy on me and change me to be His useful servant! Thank you for your love and prayer for me throughout the year 2012. May the Lord be with you!!

Immanuel!
