Immanuel, God with us

We celebrated our Lord Jesus’ birthday through our Christmas worship Service on December 23, 2012 at our church.  Sh. Ernest Chan (from Montreal UBF) delivered a powerful message based on Matthew 1:18-23 entitled, “Immanuel, God With Us.”

God blessed our Christmas worship service as we gave our hearts in worship to the Baby Jesus.

We prepared well ahead of the service, working with our growing Humber College students, 2^nd gens, and co-workers. 

We offered prayers for 3 weeks to give our hearts to serve the preparation and invitation ministry.  All 59 people, including children, family members, students, and 2^nd gens worshipped together and celebrated the birth of Jesus, our Immanuel God. The environment was joyful and full of the grace of God. May God bless all the people who do not know the grace of Jesus so that they may taste the love of Jesus and receive Jesus’ life-giving words.

Sh. Ernest’s message revealed the grace of Immanuel Jesus who came to be with sinners. How hard it is for us to be with others! But our Holy God humbled himself completely to be with us wretched and smelly sinners.  How blessed we are to have Jesus who knows, understands, and forgives all our sins!

Our students and 2^nd gens wholeheartedly participated in preparation and served the worship service. We offered ensemble music, drama, and praise and worship as our worship to the baby Jesus.  We also offered our Christmas offering for Bethesda hospital building project and Good Shepherd ministry.

May God be with us and use us as his instruments as we look forward to the year 2013.
