Nigeria, Lagos UBF Update
Lagos UBF, Nigeria
November 29, 2012
Last Monday M. Underwood Moon came to our chapter from the Yuljeon UBF in Korea through his new job at Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. He is a multi-talented, tender and warm-hearted missionary. As soon as he arrived, he served the Sunday worship service yesterday with special song and guitar playing. He also holds a black belt in Taekwondo, so he is going to perform a Taekwondo dance with native brothers in the coming Christmas worship service. He is proficient in his field of electrons, electricity and computer, etc., and his character is very positive and aggressive. He is one of the indispensable co-workers in our ministry. We pray for him to establish a beautiful house church next year. And we are praying for two more missionary families from Korea.
The three intern-shepherds (Sh. John Kim, Sh. Jacob Kim and Joshua Jung) from Korea are staying at my house after the regional African Bible conference and they are studying English diligently. They are sharing English Daily Bread with native shepherds every day and go fishing together on the campus. They are struggling a lot to feed native sheep; their absolute attitude and spirit of co-operation give us a good influence, especially to our brothers and sisters. The three intern-shepherds will go back to Korea in mid-February next year. We pray that God may continue to send us such good influential intern-shepherds and use them as a great blessing for us to build up and support our ministry.
On 11/25/12 (Sunday), we will have Thanksgiving worship service and on 12/23/12 (Sunday) we will have the Christmas worship service. Remembering God’s grace and love, we want to celebrate and praise God who has blessed our ministry for the last one year. May God bless M. Peter Park and Sh. Shewoon to receive the Holy Spirit and the words of God from heaven so that they may graciously serve the Thanksgiving worship service and the Christmas worship service and we may give our praise and worship to the baby Jesus. Our prayer meeting will start from next Monday evening at 8 o'clock and we will also practice the Hallelujah chorus.
M. Peter is very busy these days since he started a new business: Interior Design & Furniture. Today, he went to Korea for business reasons and will come back after one week. I earnestly pray that God may so abundantly bless this business that it may serve self-supporting ministry and be used for Nigerian evangelism and for pioneering West Africa region. I also pray for M. Peter Park to be anointed by the power of the Holy Spirit from above and that he may have good health to bear both mission and business. Please pray for me as well to have good health, strong faith and the spirit of prayer so that I can serve the sister discipleship ministry through co-working.
