Thailand Discipleship Conference Report
Thailand UBF, Asia
November 9, 2012
On October 20th and 21st, Thailand UBF held the discipleship conference for two days in Nakhon Nayok Town. The main message was "Have Faith in God," based on Mark 11:22 by Sh. Luke.
Sh. Luke himself spiritually struggled a lot in preparing for the main message because of his inner fear of speaking in public. However, he overcame his fear by faith in God and gracefully delivered the main message. He emphasized that faith can gradually grow even though it is small like a mustard seed.
Sh. Paul Ttam delivered the opening message, entitled "Runner's Attitude," based on Hebrews 12:1,2. He received the gift of a serving spirit, and is still growing as a servant of the words of God.
During the evening, M. Ban-Seok Lee preached the message on "The Faith that Pleases God," based on Hebrews 11:1-6. Through the message, he encouraged us to be disciples of Jesus who pleases God by having the faith that he is living and preparing an award for us.
After the evening message, the disciple candidates, Notsu (Abraham), Tanahmet (Noah), Me (Rahab) participated in the faith symposium, in which they learned and shared the faith of our ancestors of faith.
From this conference, our leaders received the spiritual direction to be soldiers of faith and earnestly prayed for the challenge of having 40 Sunday worship attendants. The overall environment that God provided for us was very beautiful. We thanked God that we could enjoy the blessed conference with good food and lodging, which was much better than before.
Prayer requests:
1. for 40 Sunday Worship attendants
2. for raising three house churches
3. for the John’s gospel ministry
4. for the symposium lecturers to grow as disciples of Jesus
I sincerely thank God for all your prayer and support for the Thailand ministry and conference. Thank and praise God, who abundantly blessed the discipleship conference to the full!
