Denver UBF Visiting Report by Alan Wolff
Denver UBF
November 6, 2012
The University of Denver became famous recently for hosting the first of the Obama-Romney debates early in October. But it is even more noteworthy because of God's ministry happening there. Missionary Jeremiah Jung's family has been there for 14 years and they have a nice Bible house just a couple of blocks from the campus. The house has several rooms and a beautiful place for the worship service in the basement. Four missionary families serve the ministry and the men coworkers rotate giving the Sunday message. Dr. Abraham is a postdoc at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is praying that God may grant him a faculty position to serve campus ministry. John Lee's family is operating a sandwich business and they pray for to be good English Bible teachers. M Joseph is a computer programmer and is praying to serve several sheep and that God may grant him a green card. M Stephen Kim's family is in Colorado Springs and they are praying for a green card as well to continue to serve God's work. M Jeremiah is a software engineer and has been serving Denver ministry for 14 years along with his wife and 3 daughters. The faith and struggle of all of these precious missionaries to serve the ministry glorifies God and is a great encouragement.
The missionaries are serving several students with Bible including Brian Shanahan, Julius and Rachel. They pray for 15 1:1 Bible studies weekly and for their Matthew's gospel study. On November 15, Denver UBF will host the West Regional staff conference at their center.
