Sudan UBF, Africa

November 2, 2012

We held a Bible conference on October 27-28 in the Khartoum Center during the Islam holidays. About thirty people attended the conference. We studied the absolute faith of Joshua, Nehemiah, and Daniel from the Old Testament. Through group Bible studies, M. Hope Kim led the first lecture on the absolute faith of Joshua. M. Moses Marji led the second lecture on the absolute faith of Nehemiah, and M. Philip Lee led the third lecture on the absolute faith of Daniel. M. Andrew Kim, Sh Poulus Apar, and M. Philip Lee delivered the messages. After each lecture, we had time to write testimonies and share them with repentant hearts and new resolutions in our lives.

Prayer topics

1. We pray that M. Philip Lee will be the new director of Sudan UBF next year. Since Sh Padiet Deng went out this year to pioneer Juba (the capital of the one-year-old nation of South Sudan), there is no official director in Sudan. We pray that M. Philip Lee will continually grow until he becomes an excellent Bible teacher and good shepherd for the young Sudanese people.

2. We pray for M. Moses and Iris Marji who will leave Sudan the beginning of January next year. They will go to Kenya because of Moses Marji’s promotion in his company. They have been struggling to feed sheep during the last seven years while having many difficulties in Sudan. We pray that they may have new spirit and faith for their new mission field.

3. We pray for South Sudan campus mission. Juba UBF will hold the Bible conference December 7-9of this year. May God give Sh Padiet Deng powerful words and clear direction from God. May God raise the messengers, Sh Padiet Deng, Oliver, and Elijah Peter, as powerful messengers of God’s word. We pray for Dr. Oyor Moses and Sh Philip Angelo who are now serving campus mission in Malakal city. They are struggling very much to feed sheep in the midst of many difficulties, especially the fact that South Sudan is the poorest nation in the world. May God give world mission vision and independent faith to the South Sudanese local leaders.

Thanks for your prayers.
