Lagos, Nigeria UBF Mission Update
There are student demonstrations on the campus of the University of Lagos (U of L) because the president of Nigeria tried to rename U of L as Abiola University. (Abiola was like Nelson Mandela in South Africa in 1993.) What is worse, the government closed the school when the school president suddenly died on May 28, 2012. In spite of the political turmoil, we are preparing the Western African Conference (Nigeria: Lagos & Yabatech), August 17-19, 2012 at Redeem Camp. For this conference, we fast and pray every Friday and hold a Bible Academy every Saturday. God is raising four brothers and four sisters through this Bible Academy. They will be group Bible teachers and native speakers at the Western African Regional Conference. Especially pray for native leaders: John Fatoinbo, Ben, Sabastin, and Joseph.
We also invited speakers from other countries: James Wood in London, England, Abraham Vucekovich in Chicago, USA, Jonathan Sayuk in Kiev, Ukraine, and Stefan Elholz in Bonn, Germany. It is not easy to get a Nigerian visa these days. God may open the way for them to obtain visas without any problem. May God bless other African regional conferences and raise native missionaries and leaders to pioneer 43 countries in Africa.
