Mongol UBF Spring Bible Conference Report
1. Mongol UBF Spring Bible Conference Report
We had the Spring Bible conference from April 20 to 21. April in Mongolia is so cold that we cannot bear to be even in a room without heat. The conference building had no heating system, so we carried our own coal stove. However, it was not enough to keep us warm. We prayed a lot for good weather, specifically not to go below zero (32F). God answered our prayer during the conference, but right after the conference the weather turned to severe cold and a blizzard occurred all of a sudden.
Until last year, the National University center (Sh. Kang, Suh) and our center had united Spring conferences, but from this year our centers each had our own Spring conference in order to help them to be independent. All together 82 people attended and among them were 35 new sheep. The theme of the conference was “Father’s heart.” We all deeply learned God’s heart and the cross of Jesus through the words of God, which wereLuke 15, “The parable of the prodigal son”delivered by Sh. Niyamsuren, Isaiah 53, “The passion of the Messiah” delivered by Sh. Magnai, John 10, “The good shepherd” delivered by Sh. Buuwebaatar, and John 15, “The true vine, Jesus” delivered by Sh. Munhtulga. And there were nine life testimony speakers who deeply accepted God’s salvation and personal calling.
Every year, although the spiritual and testimonial level of our new sheep seems lower, they all sincerely wrote testimoniesand many of them were led to one to one Bible study. The sister, Khajidmaa who has been faithfully studying one to one for the last one year, was officially raised as a shepherdess through this conference.
2. East Mongol UBF pioneering news and prayer for the ministry of marriage by faith
The Khovd province is 1580 km away (about 1000 miles) west of Ulaanbaatar City. Sh. Niyamsuren’s family, who delivered the first lecture of this conference, is praying to be sent to pioneer one campus in this province in early August of this year. It takes 2-3 days on unpaved roads to get there. Once they go down to the province, it will be like going to a foreign country and hard for them to come up to Ulaanbaatar often. So, considering this, we changed the direction that they can be sent in March of next year after 6 months of full time training. We are earnestly praying for this family. Also we are praying hard for many brothers and sisters who are of marriageable age that they may get married by faith.
All of our family members are well. Our children, Daniel and Joy are healthy and doing well in their school. M. Maria is serving God’s ministry with loyalty. As for me, I am working hard as a lawyer in a law firm. After work I study the words of God with Mongol leaders every evening.
Thank you!
