Annual Report of Bulgarian Mission

Written by J*ames K

2012 Key verse: Acts 6:4 and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word
2011 Key verse Joshua 17:14, 15

I thank God for his grace through the year 2011. I pray that I may work harder for God who is filled with grace during the New Year 2012.

I. 2011 Ministry.

1. Morning Prayer, 1:1, Sunday Worship Service, and The Balkan Conference.

This year God blessed us to have Morning Prayer time regularly in our Bible center. God also allowed us to have Friday night prayer meetings since June, after the 50th Anniversary Festival in Korea. The Lord helped us to read the entire Bible in 5 months' time. On Sunday there are 5-6 people, except the missionaries, who come to Worship Service regularly. We went to the Balkan conference in Greece with 6 brothers and sisters in August. During the conference, shepherd Georgi delivered the message of John chapter 21, and shepherdess Heather and brother Luchezar shared their life testimonies. From January to August msn J*ames K and msn John Jung delivered the message taking turns and after the conference in Greece James, John and Georgi delivered messages alternating with each other.

2. The engagement and marriage of shep. Georgi and Heather

From the beginning of this year, we prayed earnestly for Georgi's house church and we shared this prayer topic with coworkers. God moved the heart of msn Abraham Kim and msn Sarah Kim in Minneapolis when they read this prayer topic and thought of shepherdess Heather that she might be a proper coworker of Georgi. After the 50th Anniversary Festival in Korea God allowed their engagement and both are preparing for the wedding ceremony on December 31. Praise God! I pray that God may bless this house church as a source of blessing for Bulgarian and Balkan ministry.

3. Graduation and Employment.

Sister Denitsa, brother Lubomir and Ruslan graduated with Master's degrees. God gave sister Denitsa and brother Ruslan good workplaces and Georgi's twin sister Vesela was employed in BTA (Bulgarian Telegraph Agency). Msn Maria Jung was on leave of absence but this year she graduated from university in Korea. God blessed msn Cathy Kang to graduate after 15 years since her entrance to Sofia University and just after her graduation she started working as a lecturer in Korean at Sofia University and a teacher as a native speaker in a language high school. Praise God!

4. University admission of jr Cathy, a youth hero.

Jr Cathy started her studies at Seoul National University in September 2011 in the Linguistics Department. She was chosen as a recipient of a scholarship from the Foundation for Overseas Korea. Also, she received a prize from the Korea Scout Association as a youth hero in the field of education. Currently, she is studying the Bible in Kwanak 3. Praise God!

5. Bulgarian citizenship.

In September 2011 when the prime minister of Korea visited Bulgaria, msn J*ames K interpreted during the whole program of the prime minister and msn Cathy Kang had the position of an interpreter of the prime minister's spouse.  In addition, in the beginning of December they received Bulgarian citizenship. Praise God!

II.  2012 Prayer topics.

2011 marks 20 years since my coming as a missionary in Bulgaria. .This year God did many things. 2012 is the year of facing the next 20 years. I pray that I may concentrate on prayer and God's word.

a)  SWS, 1:1 and Morning prayer, twelve 1:1 in each of the two chapters.

b)  For the pioneering ministry of the house church of shepherd Georgi & Heather.

In 2012 Georgi and his house church will pioneer the National and World University of Economy. Msn John Jung is working excellently in Kotra Sofia. Msn John Jung's family who has been co-working with msn J*ames K's family for 11 years will co-work with shepherd Georgi's house church. Msn John Jung's family has served Georgi as a 1:1 Bible teacher with all their hearts and I believe that they will become examples of disciple-makers.

c)  Pioneering ministry in 10 universities in Bulgaria by 2017.

One word: I praise the Lord who is full of grace and I want to live for His glory.
