Honduras UBF Christmas Report, South America
Feliz Navidad!
I’d like to report to you briefly on the Honduras Christmas worship service.
We had our Christmas worship service in our home center on Dec. 18th. The message was from Luke 2, “The Good News of Great Joy”. Lately in Honduras there have been gunshot incidents. According to the official report, in San Pedrosula where we live. According to the official report, more than 10 people are being killed by gunshot every day. The economy is the worst, so to survive is difficult. So the joy of life for ordinary people is to stay alive and have a safe place to live. It’s easy for me to be concerned about daily life, so the birth of Jesus gives me hope and joy. Our hope is not in money or a safe place to live; worshiping the Baby Jesus is the true joy and hope. Praise God for giving me the gift of the true hope, Jesus Christ!
At our Christmas worship service, a total of 17 people attended, 5 from my family and 12 native sheep. Sister Henri shared her testimony.
We had a graceful Christmas drama, praise and joyful dance. One new student, Ani, attended. Nelly, Henri, Ana Celina, Xiomitta, Jenifer and her three younger siblings attended. They are elementary school students, but they have been attending Sunday worship regularly. It is the rainy season in Honduras right now and due to the continuous rain for two weeks, gathering Bible students and preparing for the Christmas worship was not easy. But by God’s grace, we could prepare and have a graceful Christmas service. Thank you for your faithful prayers for Honduras mission. Please pray for our conference Jan 8-9, 2012 to find key verse and direction.
