M. Timothy Won-kyo and Hannah Jung, UBF self-supporting missionaries in Tanzania, are having a very successful wig business these days. In running their wig manufacturing business in the capital city of Dar Es Salam with 350 local workers, they produce around 50 different kinds of various wigs.
Initially, M. Timothy was an employee in the wig company, however, the Korean owner of the factory closed it in failure. After deep contemplation, M. Timothy and Hannah Jung decided to take over the ownership for the sake of local workers who would otherwise be unemployed, even though they had never run their own business before.
They follow three principles in running their business. First, provide reasonable prices. Second, provide the best and elegant quality. Having tried a variety of designs, they invented a new wig, “Romance” (~$4 each), which became such a big hit that it never makes it into the inventory. And third, share business secrets and help native people open their own branches.
God accepted their shepherd heart for the Tanzanian people and is abundantly blessing their business. They were even invited to the 10th World Korean Business Convention,
