Last week end, November 4-7, 2011, Msn Anna Yang and I visited the Trenton, NJ UBF to study Genesis 1,2,3 with M. Moses and Mary Kim, their coworkers and Bible students. I remember that Christmas, 1776, George Washington crossed the icy Delaware River at Trenton. He and his courageous troops defeated the Hessians—German soldiers fighting for the British-- in his first victory of the Revolutionary War. I pray that Trenton may be a place of spiritual victory for God’s servants. Msn Moses and Mary moved to Trenton to pray for the students of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) two years ago. Two missionary families are co-workers with Moses and Mary Kim: Msn Samuel and Aromy Kim, Msn Caleb and HeeSoo Hong. Ruthy Yang who is Msn Aromy’s niece and is a TCNJ student lives with Msn Moses Family. She is a good coworker. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Eugenia Romeo, their next door neighbors, are strong Christians who worship, pray and study the Bible with the Trenton UBF. Moses and Mary’s children, Joshua and Josephine are important coworkers. Msn Mary’s eyes became much better, so she teaches 10 1:1 teams per week.

We had a three-day Genesis Bible School. This Bible school focused on students. I led the Bible study on Genesis 1,2,3.16 students joined from TCNJ and on Saturday, several students and others came from the NJ center. Most of the students studied the Bible sincerely and liked Bible study. It is my prayer that these students may meet Jesus and grow as his disciples. Friday and Saturday afternoons Msn Anna Yang led a missionary seminar. The theme was ‘Train yourself to be godly’. Missionaries were challenged and they liked it. On Sunday, after studying Genesis chapter 3, Msn Moses Kim delivered a very thoughtful, gospel focused message on Genesis 3: “Adam, Where Are You?” We were all moved by his message.

On Friday Msn John and Grace Park took us to visit the Rutgers UBF. We prayed and had lunch with them. The time was short, but we could see that God is working in missionaries and students. On Saturday we visited the Princeton campus. I was encouraged by the statue of John Witherspoon, a Presbyterian minister who was the sixth president of Princeton and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. He had a Bible in his hand. I was dismayed by the Hindu worship service in the Princeton chapel. I prayed that God might drive out the demons and again make Princeton a godly campus. Dr. Choon Hee (Princeton post doc) and Hyun Ah Lee invited us to their home for lunch. There we met Msn Zechariah and Esther Choi. Jason and Anastasia Perry took us around the Princeton campus and we prayed together for the students of Princeton University. Also, I could see that God is working in the educational institute in Princeton that John and Grace Park run. They are praying and God is opening doors to begin Princeton International Prep School. This school is in the formative stage, so we pray for it. I was happy to see John Park Jr, who just graduated from NYU and is working for Apple computers. I am grateful to Msn Moses and Mary for giving us the opportunity to visit New Jersey and participate through prayer in what God is doing there. We pray that the Trenton UBF may be a disciple-making ministry.
